CARSHALTON Athletic have announced, with great regret, the death of club president John Carpentiere.
Club chairman Frank Thompson said: "John had served the club in many positions over a long number of years. His personal commitment and dedication was instrumental to the very survival of the club when it was faced with some very difficult times in recent years. He will be fondly and long remembered by all at the club and also the wider football family within the Ryman and Suburban Leagues as well as the Football Association."
John’s funeral takes place on Friday week (October 21) at Weeley Crematorium, Colchester Road, Weeley, Essex, CO16 9JP, beginning at 11.45.
If you are unable to attend but would like to send flowers then they should be sent (arriving no later than 10am on the day of the funeral) to Leslie Barlow & Family, Clacton Funeral Services Ltd, 98 Station Road, Clacton-on-Sea, CO15 6AA
The club will pay tribute to John at their home game against Harrow on October 15 and will be shortly announcing an event at the club to celebrate his life and his significant contribution to Carshalton Athletic FC.
